AboPilot privacy policy

2. Data processed by the app

AboPilot processes information you enter yourself, such as provider, price, currency, payment date, notice period, contract or customer number, payment method, category, purpose and notes. Local information about decisions, pauses, follow-ups, trials and cancellations may also be created. It is stored in local app storage on your device.

3. No transfer to our own servers

AboPilot operates no server for accounts, synchronisation, analytics or advertising. Saved subscriptions, contracts and documents are not automatically sent to the developer.

4. Documents and camera

You may attach files or photograph a document. Selected files and photos are copied into local app storage and are not uploaded. Camera permission is requested only when you choose this feature. AboPilot does not use the microphone or request general access to your photo library.

5. Local notifications

If you enable reminders, AboPilot schedules local notifications on your device. Their dates and text remain in the device notification system.

6. App protection

Protection is optional. You may use a six-digit AboPilot PIN or device authentication. The PIN is stored only as a salted verification value in protected device storage. For Face ID, fingerprint or device passcode checks, AboPilot receives only the operating system's success or failure response, never biometric raw data or your device passcode.

7. Backups

The smaller JSON backup contains subscriptions and settings but no contract documents and is not encrypted. A full backup may include subscriptions, settings and local documents. Without a password it is readable; if you choose a password, it is encrypted with AES-256-GCM. The password is not stored and cannot be recovered. Your AboPilot PIN is never included. You decide where a backup is stored or which app receives it.

8. Feedback by email

The feedback function opens your configured email app and prepares a message. Data is sent to abopilot@tuta.com only after you send it yourself.

9. Apple App Store and Google Play

The store provider used for downloads, installation, updates or voluntary reviews processes data under its own privacy policy. AboPilot has no control over that processing.

10. Deleting app data

Delete individual entries or use Settings → Reset local data to remove all locally stored AboPilot data. Uninstalling normally removes local app data as well. Create a backup first if you wish to keep anything.

11. Permissions

AboPilot may use notifications, camera, device authentication and the operating system's file picker only when you choose the relevant function. It does not require access to bank accounts, contacts or microphone.

12. Use of this website

When you visit abopilot-app.de, the web server processes technically necessary data such as IP address, date and time, requested page or file, transferred volume, browser and operating system. This supports secure, reliable delivery under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

The site is hosted by ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany. According to the host, server logs are generally deleted after no more than seven days unless longer retention is required to investigate a security incident.

13. Website appearance

Your light or dark theme preference is stored locally in your browser and is not sent to AboPilot or our own servers. The website uses no analytics, advertising or marketing cookies.

14. External links and social media

The website links to Google Play, Apple App Store, PinguBit and its TikTok, Instagram and YouTube profiles. No social content is embedded. A connection to an external provider is made only after you follow its link.

15. Contact

If you contact us by email, your message and contact details are processed to answer your request and retained only as long as necessary for that purpose and applicable legal obligations.

16. Changes

This policy is updated when features or legal requirements change. The current version is available on the website, through store listings and inside the app.
